Description:

The two-day thematic workshop on Islamic Law and Protection of Civilians is offered in cooperation with the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy. The thematic workshop will address the following themes through legal instruction from leading experts, policy discussions and debates, simulation exercises and case studies: - International Law and “Local” Norms: Various Approaches - Introduction to Islamic Law - Key Lessons From Islamic Military History - Islamic Law and the State - What is the Difference between “Law” and Instrumentalism?: Assessing Claims of Militants - Practical Engagement with Islamic Law More information - including application instructions - will be available soon on the HPCR International website.
