The purpose of this course is to provide professional training to enhance NGOs planning and operational capabilities in humanitarian emergencies. Organized jointly with HPCR International and the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University.

The objective of the Advanced Training Program on Humanitarian Action (ATHA) is to enhance the knowledge of NGOs and other relevant actors operating in the humanitarian field, and to create greater awareness of the relationship between development cooperation and humanitarian operations in complex political emergencies.
HPCR International is an independent non-profit organization based in Brussels with activities around the world. Their work is aimed at developing innovative approaches and strategic policy tools to address complex security challenges, particularly in situations of armed conflict.
