HPCR International announces the first Core Professional Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in cooperation with the South-East Asia Peace Lab. The Core Professional Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy, designed in partnership with the Security Management Initiative of HPCR International, is tailored to meet the needs of policymakers and practitioners working in the field of humanitarian assistance and protection in conflicts around the world. The Core Professional Training provides both dynamic expert instruction and policy tools that are directly linked to practice and contemporary challenges. Combining group discussions, case studies and simulations, this event will cover the following topics: - Protecting Civilians in Times of Armed Conflict - Regulating the Conduct of Hostilities - Managing Humanitarian Access - Ensuring a Safe Access for Humanitarian Organizations - Planning for Humanitarian Protection - Contemporary Challenges to Humanitarian Policy The Core Training is designed for mid-career professionals with 3-5 years of experience in humanitarian affairs, or the equivalent. Thematic Workshops on International Humanitarian Law and Humanitarian Security are offered in complement to the Core Professional Training. The Core Professional Training and Thematic Workshops constitute two of the requirements necessary to complete the Professional Certificate on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Management offered by HPCR International.
